Caucuses Guidelines
Caucuses
relating to areas of interest that do not fall within the scope of any one
Division and do not conflict with any other established subunit of the
Association may be authorized by the Board upon written petition of 15
individual members of the Association. The initial period of authorization of a
Caucus and subsequent reauthorizations if any, shall be for such periods as the
Board may determine.
Individual
members may join a Caucus or Caucuses upon payment of an annual fee for each
Caucus.
Each
Caucus shall choose from among its members a convener whose term of office
shall be until a successor is chosen or the Caucus is dissolved.
The
convener of each Caucus shall submit an annual report on its activities to the
Association staff officer.
A Caucus
shall receive an annual budget allotment based on a share of the annual Caucus
fee paid by its members. All funds for a Caucus shall be disbursed or
reimbursed by the Association Office on written authorization from the convener
of a Caucus, who shall be responsible for keeping track of the total authorized
expenditures.
Unspent
funds will revert to the Association at the end of each fiscal year. Requests
for additional funds may be submitted to the Board and may be granted by the
Board at its discretion.
Dissolution
of a Caucus shall occur at the end of its term of authorization or subject to
such conditions as the Board may determine. All assets, if any, of the Caucus
shall revert to the Association.
