Biography for Renee A. Massoud

Renee A. Massoud is the Director of Business Research Services for KPMG LLP, where she currently leads a staff responsible for managing, developing, and delivering research and analysis capabilities.  During her nine years at KPMG, Ms. Massoud has served as a leader in the Firm's knowledge management, information sharing, and content acquisition initiatives both domestically and internationally.  Prior to joining KPMG, she has held positions in information services, client relations and advertising.

 

She is an active member of the Special Libraries Association and has served in a variety of roles at both the Chapter and Division levels.  Ms. Massoud is also the co-author of Special Libraries and Information Centers: An Introductory Text (4th edition). In addition to her involvement with SLA, Ms. Massoud has taught courses and lectured on the subjects of information delivery, customer service, knowledge management, and research services.  She has served as an information leader at the statewide level and as an advisor for a number of commercial information suppliers.

 

Outside of the information profession, Ms. Massoud enjoys time with her daughter, serves a collegic advisor to Sigma Sigma Sigma, and volunteers regularly to raise money for terminally ill children and DARE.
