GENERAL INFORMATION
[wpspoiler name=”What is the usual attendance at the SLA Annual Conference?” ]Recent years have seen between 2,500 – 4,500 conference attendees.[/wpspoiler] [wpspoiler name=”Where is the SLA Annual Conference Being Held in 2015?” ]The conference will be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, June 14 – 16. The pre-conference Continuing Education (CE) courses and Board of Directors meeting will be held on Saturday, June 13. The opening general session will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 14 followed by the opening of the INFO-EXPO and the start of the educational sessions which will continue through the evening of June 16. Each year the conference is held in a different U.S. or Canadian city. Locations are selected five years in advance. The selected venue is typically a large convention center with sufficient meeting rooms to accommodate the many simultaneous programs, meetings, and events that occur during the week. The conference hotels provide additional space for conference activities. All rooms are climate-controlled and smoking is typically prohibited in the indoor spaces.[/wpspoiler] [wpspoiler name=”What is the dress code for the SLA Annual Conference?” ]Dress comfortably and wear shoes that are good for walking. Our venues are usually quite spread out. Check the weather for the region before you pack so you will know what to expect of the climate.[/wpspoiler] [wpspoiler name=”What is the weather like in June in Boston?” ]

June sees the beginning of hot weather in Boston, Massachusetts. Yet the city’s sea breezes help spare most afternoons from excessive heat.
