Improving Search Results Through Visualization

In order to make content available for everyone, you need search tools designed for everyone.  Groxis is leading the way in designing search tools with everyone in mind. Join Shawn Lorenz in a discussion of next generation search tools and how they’re changing the way in which content is delivered. See what's behind exciting new visual search offerings. Lorenz will show how topically organized visual maps make it easier for novice and expert users to explore large amounts of content in a single view, resulting in users understanding the value and purpose of premium content.

Lorenz will also discuss Groxis' foray into the future of the enterprise search management which entails the combination of federated content access, information visualization, dynamic filtering and a set of collaborative tools that result in a complete research workflow solution for businesses, government organizations, and academic institutions.

Discussion and Practical Uses of Concept Search™ as a Means for Corporate Intelligence

The "smarts" behind a joint venture between EBSCO Publishing and Content Analyst LLC is a search technology known as "Concept Search. Concept Search enables users to search for conceptually-related content by entering phrases, paragraphs or entire articles int a search box. Users do not need to worry about matching specific words or metadata; the system finds the best information…and actually "trains" itself as it operates, creating a more intelligent search with each use. This is the same patented search technology used in the U.S. Intelligence Community today.
