Program:

Learn how the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) Library develops and maintains a research platform for Fidelity’s internal technology (IT) community using:

  • a federated search tool;
  • Microsoft SharePoint;
  • dynamically generated content;
  • RSS alerting;
  • an open source content management system on the intranet library website;
  • and how all these tools combine to provide a virtual information service.

In addition, the Fidelity Investment Information Services group (IIS) managed the adoption of a new global industry classification standard. Learn about:

  • data mappings and retagging of multiple content sets;
  • redesign of primary research applications and GUI navigation;
  • the importance of matching taxonomies to business structures, implementing them consistently across print and electronic collections;
  • and lessons learned through the process.

Agenda:

  • 5:00-6:00pm: Registration, excellent refreshments and time to network with colleagues.
  • 6:00-8:00pm: Presentations.
