Call for LIS Journals!

Michele Cloonan, Dean of Simmons College, Graduate School of Library and Information Science, is the head of a joint program with Harvard University to train Iraqi librarians and archivists. I contacted her to see if the SLA Boston community could help in any way and there is something that we can do. We can donate library science journals. She told me that, "the Iraqi LIS faculty only want certain journals and recent issues of those journals, so people should check with me before they send anything. Special Libraries is on their list, however. Also, there is no reliable way to ship them right now; I plan to carry them with me when I return to Jordan at the end of January."
