Since I’m going on vacation soon and I’m also intermittently reading a book of oxymorons (which is not exactly something you just sit down and read per se) I thought I’d pass along an interesting page that includes oxymorons about backpacking, at http://www.backpacking.net/oxymoron.html, and it’s found under the heading “Philosophy” on www.backpacking.net. There are many great “oxymoronic backcountry phrases” here, such as restless sleep and minor disaster. This page from backpacking.net also provides great quotes for rumination, like “I am a deeply superficial person,” by Andy Warhol.
