Cain, part-time
Reference Assistant at both the Northborough Public Library and the Berlin
Public Library, has accepted her first professional position following her
completion of the MLS from Simmons this past December. She is now the Head of
Technical Services at the Shrewsbury (Massachusetts) Public Library. Cynthia
Cheng Correia,
Principal of Knowledge inForm, participated in the joint project of the Simmons
College GSLIS and the Harvard University library system to train Iraqi
librarians, archivists, and information professionals. The program was funded by
the National Endowment for the Humanities and was conducted in Amman, Jordan in

Cheng Correia,
Principal of Knowledge inForm, recently launched the first series of competitive
intelligence webinars designed to support the continuous development of
competitive intelligence skills, resources, and practices for all levels of CI
professionals. Melissa
Hilbert joined Ex Libris as
Verde Implementation Librarian, working out of Ex Libris' Boston office. Melissa
was formerly the Electronic Resources Librarian at the Harvard-Smithsonian
Center for Astrophysics. Margaret
Howe-Soper has been busy
since leaving HBS in May. She received the Chapter's Distinguished Service
Award, attended the SLA conference in Toronto, took a Reader's Advisory Service
workshop, and traveled the U.S. to visit all of her children and do
some consulting about setting up and moving libraries. Becky
Smith,
the head of the Business & Economics Library at the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign, was recently elected to the Secretary position within
SLA’s Leadership and Management Division. On June 5th, Cindy Stavropoulos celebrated her 20th year of service anniversary at Bain & Company, Inc. She is currently the Manager of Northeast Information Services. |
