Maureen Festa is walking in the Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk this summer, in support of her mother who was diagnosed again this past winter.

Danielle Barney has switched jobs within Baker Library at Harvard. She was Team Lead for Collections Services in Baker Library Access Services and now is a Reference Librarian and a Subject Liaison to the Finance, Social Enterprise, and Accounting & Control faculty units at Harvard Business School. The good part is she’s having a lot of fun doing it!

Mary Chitty wrote a chapter on Genomics, Proteomics and Bioinformatics in Using the Pharmaceutical Literature, with Sharon Srodin as editor, published by Taylor & Francis CRC Press in 2006. Tara Breton was a co-author of the chapter on toxicology and many of the other authors are members of the DPHT, the Pharmaceutical and Health Technology Division. Betty Edwards, Manager of Business Development Research at law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP, was quoted extensively in an article that appeared in the April 2006 issue of  AALL (American Association of Law Librarians) Spectrum. The article title is "Blurring the Lines: Law Firm Libraries and Business Development Departments Share More Duties, Sometimes Share Credit."

Jane John, owner of On Point Research in Brunswick, ME, was recently elected to the Board of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP). She joined the Board as President Elect at the AIIP annual meeting in Coral Gables Florida, April 22, 2006.

Brenda Negus has joined Fuld & Company in Cambridge as a business librarian.  She previously worked as a cybrarian for TechTarget.

Patrick Slaven was promoted to Business Analyst focusing on Web Search and Technology at Thomson-Compumark. Thomson-Compumark is a trademark research firm located in North Quincy, MA.
