SLA Boston Chapter Awards

The SLA Boston Awards Committee is pleased to announce the 2006 Award Winners.
The Awards were presented at the Annual Business Meeting, November 15, 2006.

Chapter Achievement Awards:
ANNA BURKE – for her outstanding work and energy developing the New Professionals group by organizing many innovative activities throughout the year

DOROTHY BARR – for energetically reinvigorating and expanding the Western Outreach program

KATRINA REILING – for a terrific job handling Logistics for several key programs throughout the year.

Distinguished Service Award:
PAULINE LEEDS - for many years of dedicated service to the Chapter, including serving as Co-Chair of the Logistics Committee. Pauline just completed a four year period as archivist, during which she thoroughly weeded, re-organized and indexed the Chapter Archives.

Special Recognition:
VICARY (Vicki) MAXANT – Vicki recently retired from Raytheon after many years of service with the Boston Chapter. Vicki joined SLA and the Boston Chapter in December 1982. Since then, she has held several offices, including those of Treasurer, President-elect, President, Past-president and Director. She also served as a member of the Annual Conference Advisory Committee, and spent several years as Chair or Co-Chair of the Logistics Committee. Vicki was actively engaged in our Chapter for many years and we are pleased to honor her with this Special Recognition.
