SLA Virtual Seminar

WHAT:  SLA Virtual Seminar - Open Access: Implications and Cost Models.  Presentation by David Stern, who has been the Director of Science Libraries and Information Services at Yale University since 1995.  

Open Access is becoming a reality, and new cost models are being developed. What is Open Access? What are the implications of the various cost models in the short and long-term? What are the possible impacts on the scholarly communication network in the long-term? This interactive session will address author charges, institutional subscriptions, and other forms of support for the peer review and distribution process, along with other pending questions in the arena of Open Access.

WHEN: Wednesday, December 1, 1:45pm-3:30pm
