We are ending the year on a historical note: Anthony S. Pitch
will
present a program on “Lincoln and 9/11: Symbolic Parallels”. Pitch is
noted Washington, DC historian who has written a number of books,
including “The Burning of Washington: The British Invasion of 1814”,
which was a selection of the History Book Club, winner of the Arline
Custer Memorial Prize for Best Book from the Mid-Atlantic Regional
Archives Conference, and recipient of the Maryland Historical Society's
Annual Book Award. He has been tapped for appearances on The History
Channel, National Public Radio, C-Span, and is a sought after lecturer.
