"A no nonsense approach to copyright that makes a difference in delivering services"
Dr. Jean Kreamer, a National Copyright Oversight Officer, Director of Media and Printing Services, Division of Information Technology, USL, will give a presentation for librarians and information specialists in the non-profit and profit libraries on copyright and its impact on businesses. A seasoned and high in-demand speaker, Dr. Kreamer will address copyright in the electronic environment and guide attendees through a hands-on exercise that will teach you how to quickly cut through copyright legalese, establish basic copyright knowledge that often is overlooked yet impacts businesses and how services are delivered, and address common myths and misconceptions regarding copyright in digital formats. A question and answer session will follow.
Register today for the program and a networking lunch which will be conducted at the Gonzales Holiday Inn. Captain Anderson's, an affiliate of Mike Anderson's, prepares the meal which includes vegetable, potatoes, tea, tip, tax, and free parking. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., Dr. Kreamer will begin speaking at 10:00 Am., lunch and the business meeting will follow immediately.
