Louisiana/Southern Mississippi Chapter of Special Libraries Association
We hope that you will be able to make it to our February 6, 1998 meeting which will be held at Coates Hall (one of the Library Science graduate school classrooms) on the campus of LSU from 8:30-3:30 pm.
We all provide services. That's the nature of our information delivery business. Yet do you provide quality, consistent services to a wide range of clients by being attentive to their individual needs? Whether you are a manager or a subordinate you will benefit from our next chapter meeting: Leadership Assessment, interpretation, evaluation and interpretation. LSU's Comprehensive Public Management Training Professional staff from (who facilitate these classes to state government, private and university institutions and organizations) will administer a nationally recognized management/ leadership test, assess your individual management/leadership style and provide insights into your leadership/management styles. SLA chapter member Sandy Colby has just completed taking the leadership assessment and said that it has given great insight into her leadership/management style strengths and provides tools and a new perspective to strengthen weaknesses. Please consider giving yourself an opportunity to gain a fresh perspective on how to anticipate individualized leadership needs...whether from the perspective of a subordinate, clients or your manager/supervisor. And join us for buffet lunch at the Cotillion ballroom on the LSU campus. A chapter meeting will be conducted following the luncheon. Non-SLA chapter members are welcome to attend.
