List of commands
 Discussion list

SLA-CPHIL is the electronic mailing list for the Chapter. The list is used for job postings, Chapter news, news of other organizations, reference and research support and general discussion.

The list manager can be contacted at Hardy@drexel.edu

Searchable archives of postings to the list from December 2003 - forward are available at http://lists.sla.org. Log in using your email address and leave the password blank.

An additional archive of all postings from July 1995-December 2003 is available here.

Subscribing

  1. Send an e-mail message to lists@lists.sla.org
  2. Leave the "subject" line blank
  3. In the body of the message type
    SUBSCRIBE SLA-CPHIL your name

Posting a message

Anyone who subscribes to the discussion list may post a message. These messages are distributed to the entire list. To post a message to the list, email the message to sla-cphil@lists.sla.org.

Using list commands

All commands are executed by sending an email to lists@lists.sla.org

When executing commands:

  • Leave the subject line blank
  • Put the command in the body of the email message
  • Always send commands (or messages) from the email address you used to subscribe to sla-cphil
  • Do not include signature files or additional information with commands

List of commands

The following commands will be helpful to you:
To unsubscribe from the list signoff sla-cphil
To remain on the list, but not receive mail (eg. vacation) set sla-cphil nomail
To reverse the NOMAIL setting set sla-Cphil mail
To review the status of your entry on the list query sla-Cphil
To receive a list of subscribers review sla-cphil
To conceal your name from the list review set sla-cphil conceal
To include your name in the list review set sla-cphil noconceal
To receive a copy of your own postings to the discussiion list set sla-cphil repro
To not receive a copy of your own postings set sla-cphil norepro
To receive a list of discussion lists being hosted list
To receive a help file help
