Middle Management Institute

Everything you need to effectively manage your information center!

In today's environment, information professionals move rapidly into demanding positions often without the benefit of management education. SLA's Middle Management Institute bridges the gap between library school and the challenges of a mid-level position in library/information management. The goal of the MMI is to provide practical training in the fundamentals of management and assist participants in the development of skills associated with effective administration.

The MMI consists of 75 hours of instruction divided into five program areas:

Management Skills · Analytical Tools · Human Resources · Marketing and Public Relations · Technology and Applications

* Each course is ranked by level of instruction.
Levels:
B = Basic
I = Intermediate
A = Advanced
