San Diego Information
No longer a sleepy mission town, the city of San Diego now is home to more than 2.7 million people and has become a rich, vibrant, cultural center, as well as California's second-largest city after Los Angeles.

Beaches
As a San Diego newcomer, your first instinct will likely be to go to the beach, pull off your shoes and let the ocean wash over your toes. But before you go, be aware that San Diego's 70 miles of beaches are like a family of diverse people; each has its own distinct personality. Some are havens for surfers and divers; others are remote getaways; and many are perfect for most any activity.

Climate
Holiday Magazine voted San Diego "the only area in the United States with perfect weather." Most San Diegans consider the city's climate close to perfect, and Holiday Magazine even voted San Diego "the only area in the United States with perfect weather." Winter is considered the rainy season; however, each winter month averages 1.5 inches of rainfall, hardly enough to qualify for monsoons! Just about every day is pleasant in San Diego, and its residents golf, swim, play tennis, bicycle, rollerblade and do every other outdoor activity imaginable under a canopy of sun and warmth year-round.
