SLA Treasurers
Over the past 100 years, SLA has been a fiscally responsible organization. Since our founding, the treasurer has played an important role in maintaining our financial integrity. At one point, we even elected a treasurer and an assistant treasurer (those individuals are designated as such in the list below). Initially, the treasurer also served as secretary. In the late 1920s, we elected a secretary for a few years, gave it up, and then tried again later in the 1950s (those individuals are also designated as such in the list below). Today, the secretary is selected from among the elected Board members and serves a one-year term.
