The individuals who have served as president of the association are accessible on the SLA web site, so we'll start our recognition of elected leaders with our former Vice-Presidents, a position we not longer have. We began using the term President-Elect in 1963, and since all the President-Elects become President a separate list becomes redundant. As the list below indicates, for a number of years we elected both a First Vice-President and a Second Vice-President, each for a one-year term; many went on to serve as President, while others did not. Second Vice-Presidents are designated as such, no designation means First Vice-President.
