Tracks

This year's conference will encompass a new use of the tracks offered by SLA. Each day sessions will follow a particular track.

The Tracks are:

State of the Art: (Monday) The activities in this track are aimed at examining the current issues and trends that impact how we manage and how we deliver information/knowledge. The programs in this track will cover a broad spectrum of topics from a variety of approaches.

Future Directions: (Tuesday) The activities in this track are designed to "stretch" the participants' thinking in certain areas by anticipating what the future will bring for our profession, as well as look at how we can shape own future.

Globalization: (Wednesday) The activities in this track are focused on issues and trends that impact us and our organizations on a global scale. The programs in this track will cover a broad spectrum of topics from a variety of approaches.

Networking: The activities in this track are designed to provide the members the opportunity for less formal discussion and exchange of information than the program activities themselves. Business meetings, luncheons, receptions and open houses give the conference attendee time to renew old contacts and friendships and to develop new ones.
