*As of 7/1/07, ALL Hotel Rates listed are tentative and subject to change.
***Rates do not include 15.60% occupancy tax***
When you make your reservation, you will be required to put down a deposit toward your room. In addition to protecting the hotel, it protects the guest and it helps SLA conference attendees as a whole by allowing for better hotel reservations and better room guarantees. Deposits will be about the cost of one night's stay and will be charged at the time of reservation. When you check out of your hotel, a corresponding credit will appear on your bill.
To secure the preferred SLA 2008 rates, you must reserve your accomodations through the official SLA Housing Office when it becomes available. Individual hotels will not be able to directly offer our special rates.
Please note: Ample hotel accommodations usually are available. Unfortunately, there may not be enough rooms at each property to satisfy every attendee under every circumstance.

US State Department Raising Visa Charges
Effective 1 January 2008, the application fee for a U.S. non-immigrant visa will increase from US$ 100 to US$ 131. This increase allows the Department to recover the costs of security and other enhancements to the non-immigrant visa application process. This increase applies both to non-immigrant visas issued on machine-readable foils in passports and to border crossing cards issued to certain applicants in Mexico.
Currently, there is also an extended wait time to process some Visas so we recommend you start early. In some cases it has been shown to take more than 115 days to process. If you need a letter of invitation to participate in the conference, please send your name, company name, job title, mailing address, phone number and a brief statement of why you believe it would be beneficial for you to attend the SLA Annual Conference to events@sla.org. For more specific information please contact your nearest Consular Office or http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov/.
