When you make your reservation, you will be required to put down a deposit toward your room. In addition to protecting the hotel, it protects the guest and it helps SLA conference attendees as a whole by allowing for better hotel reservations and better room guarantees. Deposits will be about the cost of one night's stay and will be charged at the time of reservation. When you check out of your hotel, a corresponding credit will appear on your bill.
To secure the preferred SLA 2009 rates, you must reserve your accomodations through the official SLA Housing Office. Individual hotels will not be able to directly offer our special rates.
Please note: Ample hotel accommodations usually are available. Unfortunately, there may not be enough rooms at each property to satisfy every attendee under every circumstance.

Conventions cannot be booked via Internet. Please be sure to refer to Convention Fare Code X48W-959 when making your reservation. This offer is not valid on the Auto Train and Acela Service. Fare is valid on Amtrak Regional for all departures seven days a week, except for holiday blackouts. Offer valid with Sleepers, Business Class or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges.

US State Department Visa Information
Currently, there is an extended wait time to process some Visas so we recommend you start early. In some cases it has been shown to take more than 115 days to process. If you need a letter of invitation to participate in the conference, please send your name, company name, job title, mailing address, phone number and a brief statement of why you believe it would be beneficial for you to attend the SLA Annual Conference to Akisha Edogun at aedogun@sla.org..
