Awards Criteria
General Criteria for all SLA Awards
Various SLA awards are given for specific achievements, at different milestones in an information professional's career. As such, each SLA Award has its own specific criteria in addition to the general eligibility requirements listed here:
- Nominees must hold membership in good standing in the Association
- Nominations may be submitted by any member of the Association (including oneself) or by an employer or colleague.
- SLA members currently serving on the SLA Board of Directors will be ineligible for an award during their term.
- Nominations must be received at SLA HQ by the deadline in order to be considered for the current awards cycle. SLA Awards & Honors nominations are due December 1, SAAARC Certificate of Merit Awards are due on May 18.
