The SLA Awards & Honors Program was created in 1948 to honor exceptional individuals, achievements, and contributions to the Association and the information profession. Each year since, SLA seeks out and recognizes the best and brightest stars in the information profession from across the globe.
The purpose of the SLA Awards & Honors Program is to bring attention to the important work of special librarians and information professionals within the corporate and academic setting.
