INFORMATION FOR SLA COMMITTEES AND REPRESENTATIVES

I. Practice

It is the practice of the Special Libraries Association to provide information for Committees and Representatives to make this information available to each Committee Chair or Representative at the beginning of each Association year or his/her term.

II. Purpose

Since the business of the Association could not function without the volunteer leadership of the membership, the purpose of this policy is to facilitate the work of the Committees and Representatives in advancing the mission of the Association.

III. Practice/Procedures

Guidelines may be requested from Association Headquarters.

IV. Responsibility

The overall administration of this policy is the responsibility of the Associate Executive Director. Each staff member serving as liaison will follow the "Practice/Procedures" section in providing assistance to Committees.
