SLA CREDIT PRACTICE

I. Practice

It is the practice of the Special Libraries Association to offer various payment options to SLA's members and customers for the purchase of its products and services.

II. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the Association maintains sound financial practices which maximize collection efforts and safeguard the Association assets.

III. Practice/Procedure

A. The credit and collections procedures manual will remain an active document, reviewed by the appropriate staff on an annual basis.

B. Significant changes in the procedures will be reported to the Finance Committee and to the Association's independent accounting firm.

IV. Responsibility

The Senior Assistant Executive Director, Finance and Administration is responsible for maintaining the credit and collection procedures manual.
