PRACTICE FOR EXCHANGE ADVERTISING IN SLA PUBLICATIONS
It is the practice of the Special Libraries Association to participate in advertising exchanges when beneficial to the Association.
To provide alternative methods of promoting and marketing various association programs and products to markets that might not otherwise be filtrated.
To achieve the policy and purpose, advertising exchanges will only be considered after the following criteria/standards have been satisfied:
1. That exchange advertising agreements be entered into with associations that have a stated purpose similar to that of Special Libraries Association.
2. That for-profit publications that are potential advertisers be barred from participation in an exchange program.
3. That any exchange only be entered into when there is obvious and equal benefit to Special Libraries Association and its members.
The Executive Director is responsible for monitoring the compliance with this policy.
