CALENDAR OF DEADLINES FOR THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE

I. Policy

It is the policy of the Special Libraries Association to set key planning dates for the Annual Conference. These dates give guidance for everyone involved in the planning and programming of the Annual Conference, and are necessary in that they provide a structure for everyone to adhere to.

II. Purpose

The function of this policy is to provide planning deadlines for the Annual Conference thus ensuring a successful professional experience.

III. Practice/Procedures

The Calendar of Deadlines for the annual Conference will include planning and final deadlines for:

1. Inclusion of material in the Preliminary Conference Program

2. Inclusion of material in the Final Conference Program

3. Promotion and acceptance of Contributed Papers.

4. Communications with Division Planners

5. Registration deadlines

IV. Responsibility

The Senior Director for Conferences & Professional Development is responsible for the administration of and adherence to this policy.
