SLA 2009 Closing Keynote Panel to Feature Aerospace, Business and Technology Luminaries;
Television's Judy Woodruff to Moderate

Alexandria, Va., May 29, 2009--Thought leaders Neil deGrasse Tyson, Robyn Meredith and John Patrick, along with television's Judy Woodruff, will share their insights into the future of news, aerospace science, business and technology, and discuss the outlook for both information and information professionals in these fields on June 17 at the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO in Washington, D.C. The panel will follow the SLA Membership Meeting, which starts at 12:30 p.m. and takes place during the SLA 2009 Closing General Session. The session is sponsored by Dialog & ProQuest.

SLA's 2009 Annual Conference, to be held June 14-17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, celebrates the association's centennial anniversary with the theme "From Information to Inspiration: Knowledge and Vision Shaping the Future."

"These panelists represent an interesting cross-section of the fields in which information professionals work every day around the globe," said SLA CEO Janice R. Lachance. "I can't wait to hear their insights into the future. This closing panel should prove to be both informative and inspirational, and a great way to help launch SLA's next 100 years. SLA is honored to welcome thought leaders of such stature and accomplishment to our conference at this important time for our profession and association."
