SLA 2005 is the premier event for information professionals and industry partners. This year, keynote speakers Don Tapscott and Bill Buxton will set the tone for the event, and SLA’s 25 professional interest-related divisions – including the new Competitive Intelligence and Government Information Divisions – are designing content relevant to the latest trends in the profession. With over 250 companies expected to participate in the SLA Info-Expo, participants will see the latest technologies and services for acquisition, organization, and delivery of information and knowledge.

SLA Executive Director Janice R. Lachance anticipates strong attendance – and lots of excitement – at SLA 2005. “This is our first event in Canada since 1995, and it marks a turning point in our growth as an international organization. The library and information profession has changed dramatically in the past 10 years. The ability to adapt to these changes is directly related to the level of professional development one receives. Our conference is one of the best in that regard, and Toronto is the perfect city for us to continue that journey.”
