MEDIA ADVISORY: PRESS ACCESS FOR SLA 2006
Advance Registration Required for Access to Events, Sessions

Alexandria, VA, USA, 26 April 2006 ? The Special Libraries Association (SLA) invites representatives of press and media organizations engaged in reporting and editorial coverage of the SLA 2006 Annual Conference and Info-Expo to apply for press credentials.

Members of the media interested in attending SLA 2006 should e-mail Cara Battaglini, Director of Public Relations for SLA at cara@sla.org. Press credentials are intended for members of the working media who are members of editorial staffs and reporting on the events, programs and activities at SLA 2006 and conference participants. Those requesting media registration must be currently employed by a publication or news organization, and your press badge will reflect this affiliation. A letter from your employer that describes your assignment may be required.

Freelance writers are required to supply an assignment letter. Please e-mail your letter to Cara Battaglini at cara@sla.org or fax to +1.703.647.4901 by close of business on Friday, 9 June 2006.

A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you, and media badges may be picked up on site at the SLA Registration Center.
