Get Copyright Right by Intellectual Property Expert
Laura N. Gasaway
Now Available From SLA

Baltimore, Maryland, USA, 9 June 2006 - Special Libraries Association (SLA) announces the release of Get Copyright Right, written by law professor and director of the law library at the University of North Carolina, Laura N. Gasaway. The book, which is a compilation of Copyright Corner columns from Information Outlook, is now available from SLA.

Gasaway wrote the monthly Copyright Corner feature in Information Outlook for six years, winning the H. W. Wilson Award for her columns at the 2005 SLA Annual Conference.  This collection, fully updated for 2006, includes the most topical of her writings. Gasaway selected 30 of the best columns from the 74 that she wrote during her tenure as a columnist for SLA's flagship magazine Information Outlook.

According to Gasaway, "It was good to review what I had written and to consider later cases and other developments that had affected the subject area of the column. Much of the pending legislation never passed, but some of it was enacted. The 30 columns that are included in the book have been updated to reflect newer information."

The book will be available at the SLA Annual Conference at the Baltimore Convention Center in booth #2019. SLA members can purchase either a printed or electronic copy of Get Copyright Right for $19.95 (non-member price is $29.95). Following the conclusion of SLA's conference the book will be available online at www.sla.org
