Dear SLA Member,
Being and becoming prepared for tomorrow are integral parts of what it means to be successful today. Every day, new ideas are postulated, new technologies developed, new relationships begun--and these "newnesses" seem to happen faster and faster, don't they? In a sense, even as we manage what is happening today, the future is already here--the future is now. It affects your daily workflow, and you can see it playing a significant factor in the broader development of your career.
As your professional association, SLA provides a robust and energetic community that is vitally important to positioning yourself for and in this future. To maintain and build this community, we need a continual flow of fresh ideas and a constant injection of energy and enthusiasm from its members. SLA is made up of really bright people and it's going to take participation from everyone to continue SLA's leadership role in our profession. I invite you to engage now and help SLA thrive in this "Future Now" world!
When you participate actively in SLA, you help your career by learning new tasks you might not perform in your job. You'll gain new skills, such as project management, cross-functional collaboration, and deep networking with peers and mentors.
The deadline to complete the form is 16 November 2011.
Thank you.
