Subscription Instructions

Listserv

Send message to the Subscription Address (e.g. Listserv@silverplatter.com) in the following format:

Leave Subject line blank.

Subscribe LISTNAME Your_Name (e.g. Subscribe SOLOLIB-L John Doe)

Note: The LISTNAME is the part of the list address preceding the @ symbol. For example, if the list address is SOLOLIB-L@silverplatter.com, the list name is SOLOLIB-L.

Unsubscribe Instructions

Send message to the Subscription Address (e.g. Listserv@silverplatter.com) in the following format:

Leave Subject line blank.

unsubscribe LISTNAME (e.g. unsubscribe SOLOLIB-L)

Note: The LISTNAME is the part of the list address preceding the @ symbol. For example, if the list address is SOLOLIB-L@silverplatter.com, the list name is SOLOLIB-L.

Subscription Instructions

Majordomo Send message to the Subscription Address in the following format: subscribe LISTNAME your_email_address (i.e. Subscribe SLA-List maurice@sla.org)

Note: The LISTNAME is the part of the list address preceding the @ symbol. For example, if the list address is SLA-List@sla.org, the list name is SLA-List.

 

SmartList Send a message to the Subscription Address with the word "subscribe" in the Subject: field.
Subject Line: Subscribe
The body of the message should be left empty.

To subscribe to Newslib via Lyris (web-based version)

  • Launch your Web browser.
  • Type in this URL http://lyris.unc.edu
  • In the "Search" box, type in NewsLib, then click on enter
  • On the next menu, you are asked for your email address. Enter it.
  • Ignore the request for a password unless you want one.
  • Click on the "Join NewsLib" button.
  • Follow the instructions from there.
  • Shortly you will receive an email message indicating that you are subscribed to NewsLib.
