How can I better understand and anticipate competitors' conditions and activities using financial intelligence?
Financial analysis is a vital and powerful component of competitive intelligence that can provide valuable insights to an organization's condition, how organizations manage and operate, and how they make decisions. While often overlooked, avoided, or insufficiently conducted, applying good financial intelligence can help you better understand competitor's strengths, weaknesses, competitive options, and potential activities. This workshop is designed to help information professionals build better understanding of finance, expand their use of financial intelligence and analysis, enhance their intelligence research efforts for financial analysis, and become more knowledgeable members of intelligence teams. Join us as financial intelligence expert Matt Evans reviews the use of financial statements and indicators for gaining intelligence and insights, examines source data behind financial statements, and discusses and demonstrates key types of financial analysis that should be in any analyst's toolkit. This interactive workshop aims to build practical understanding and experience, and will feature lectures, case examples, and exercises.
