About Certificate in Copyright Management Courses

Overview

Each course will cover the topics listed in the syllabus and meet the objectives and specific learning outcomes described on the Click University Website.  However, these courses provide a unique learning environment, and each offering of a course is customized towards the participants, their backgrounds and needs. There is a minimum level of participation expected, but participants are encouraged to engage in greater discussion and further exploration of copyright and issues.  Direct contact with the instructor during a course and throughout the program ensures that you stay focused and develop a copyright management plan that is unique, appropriate, and practical for your organization.

While the primary goal in offering this program is to allow participants to earn a certificate, each course has inherent value and may be taken à la carte.

Technology

CCM online courses use the following technologies and applications:

1. Live online sessions (including seminars and discussions) are conducted using GoToWebinar.  Review the Attendee Quick Reference Guide for more information.  Please check with your IT department to see if you have authorization to access GoToWebinar.

All online sessions are recorded for additional access during the course.

2. A private online discussion list for the duration of each course.  This is a great venue to discuss course issues and get feedback on your own particular copyright questions.

3. A private digital space includes the course materials, online session information, reading list, and the course technology manual.  These materials are invaluable reference material during and after the course. The digital space will be updated throughout the course with information about further resources and discussion questions and scenarios.

CCM in-person courses also have a private digital space.

Getting Started

Several days prior to the start of each course, participants will receive a welcome note from SLA staff that includes the course materials and information about accessing the digital space and registering for the online sessions.  Make careful note of the date of each online session and the assessment (quiz) deadline.
