This live course covers the issues necessary to institute enterprise-wide copyright education. Topics covered include:

Course Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will understand the importance of career-long copyright education for themselves, and the issues necessary to institute enterprise-wide copyright education. The participant will be able to weed through the complex maze of copyright and focusing on relevant copyright issues in his enterprise, identify a print or digital copyright issue, sensitize others in their enterprise about copyright management, and educate senior officials, librarians, employees and the public about copyright principles and issues. The participant will understand how to avoid unauthorized uses of content by end users, ensure copyright information is accessible in his enterprise, and explain difficult legal concepts in plain English. Further, the participant will be able to locate existing tools for copyright education, develop a plan for original tools for copyright education, describe the components in a copyright policy, and formulate how to develop a copyright policy for his own enterprise.

Performance Measure
Course assessment, exercises and discussions will measure and evaluate the degree of understanding that participants achieve over the learning process.
Attendance is required for the entire day long session to obtain IACET credit and/or satisfy Certificate requirement.
Prerequisites
This online course is the final of seven required courses for the SLA/Click University Certificate in Copyright Management: Principles and Issues.CCM 100, 200 and/or 201, 300, 400, 500 and 600 are recommended but are not prerequisites for participants in the Certificate.
Participants enrolled in the Certificate will attain their certificate upon completion of all of the required courses for the Certificate.
There are no course prerequisites for non-Certificate participants, who may take any Certificate courses a la carte. However, registration in this course requires a knowledge of basic copyright management issues and principles (including fair use/dealing.)
