About the Speaker - K. Matthew Dames K. Matthew Dames is the founder and principal of Seso Group, LLC, an information strategy and advisory firm that specializes in helping organizations create, archive, deliver, share and protect digital assets.

Kevin formed Seso Group after completing a fellowship at Georgetown University’s Edward Bennett Williams Law Library, the nation’s third-largest law library. During his term as Resident Librarian, Kevin presented extensive research and writing on how technology impacts work, educational and legal environments. Kevin also chaired a task force that developed the Library’s response plan to information requests under the USA PATRIOT Act.

Kevin’s transition into the information science and management profession follows successful careers in law and journalism. While at New York State Electric & Gas Company, Kevin developed the company’s bankruptcy and creditors rights practices, coordinated intellectual property matters, and played an integral role in developing the company’s information confidentiality policies. Kevin also has been a staff writer for several publications, for which he covered legal affairs, politics and popular music. Currently, he is the founder and Executive Editor for SNTReport.com, an online publication that reports on how people and businesses collaborate in online environments.

Kevin has earned his Master of Library & Information Science degree from Syracuse University, where he was named a University Scholar. Kevin also has earned his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law, where he was awarded the school’s Nelson Mandela scholarship. In 2002, Kevin was inducted into Beta Phi Mu, the international information science honor society, and in 2003 was honored as the first winner of the 21st Century New Librarian award.
