About the Speaker - Elizabeth Buchanan Elizabeth Buchanan, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies, where she is also Co-Director of the School's Center for Information Policy Research.

Elizabeth's research focuses on information ethics in general, and internet research ethics, intellectual freedom, and global issues in information ethics in particular. She has been a guest editor of the Journal of Information Ethics, and a contributor to many journals and books. She is also the editor of Readings in Virtual Research Ethics: Issue and Controversies, 2004. In addition, she speaks regularly at professional conferences on a wide range of ethics issues.
