SLA offers a number of training opportunities for leaders in a number of chapter and division program areas. Please utilize these training sessions and other resources available.
These may also be a good resource when asking someone to take on a leadership role in your chapter or division. Direct those considering a leadership role to an additional resource: Why Seek a Leadership Position.
Each year at the SLA Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO, SLA's unit leaders gather on Sunday morning for the Leadership Development Institute for training, skill development, brainstorming and idea exchange. If you are a leader at any level, or are interested in volunteering in the future, plan to attend this event.
And, let us know, if you have additional questions, comments or needs. Our goal is to provide you the tools and training to make your SLA leadership role a rewarding experience.
