Seven Skills of Highly Successful Information Professionals
Seminar Description
Information professionals need a more diverse set of skills to succeed in the 21st century. New roles are offering more exciting jobs and projects, but we need to expand our set of skills to meet those challenges. Based on his own experience and research for his book Characteristics of the Successful 21st Century Information Professional, Dennie Heye will outline seven key skills with practical examples.
In addition to core skills (such as information seeking, organization, and access), information professionals also need to be creative and keen to innovate, see the big picture, show leadership, persuade others, manage their time, know how to add value, and deliver effective presentations.
Who Should Attend?
Information professionals who want to expand or improve their skill set to be well prepared for a successful future.
