SLA has recently partnered with the Association of Independent Professionals (AIIP)to offer reciprocal discounts to both memberships as well as each organization's upcoming conferences. Both your SLA and AIIP membership will be verified upon receipt of any application.
Here are the details:
SLA and AIIP Membership Discounts until 31 May
AIIP members will receive a 10 percent discount on all SLA Full Member Tiers at and above an Annual Salary of $35,000 (US $185; US $200) until 31 May 2010. Only new SLA members are eligible for the discount.

SLA members will receive a 10 percent discount on either the full or associate dues tiers. Only new AIIP members are eligible for the discount.
To Join AIIP: To register as an SLA member for AIIP at the discount use the following instructions go HERE and use the discount code: "SLA-WELCOME-2010"
Conference discounts until 31 May
AIIP members can now receive the SLA member rate on the upcoming SLA 2010 Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO to be held in New Orleans, LA from 13 to 16 June. Select the registration option for SLA members during the registration process to receive the member rate. The non-member rate for the SLA Conference is $925, AIIP Members will receive the following rates:
Before April 9th: $445
Between 10 April - 7 May 2010: $625
Between 8 May 2010 - 16 June 2010: $725
SLA members can also receive the AIIP member rate on the upcoming AIIP 24th Annual Conference to be held in Cleveland, OH from 29 April to 2 May. As an SLA member, you can register for this conference for $420, compared to $600. Select the registration option for SLA members during the registration process to receive the member rate.
