Accepts donations of books provided they are in excellent condition and not more than eight yeras old. Donors of used books must ship to our San Francisco warehouse at their expense. The largest such program in China where it sends 500,000 books per year to more than 500 universities, also serving Southeast Asia, Bridge seeks donations of used and new academic and scholarly books, journals, databases and other materials in all fields of arts and sciences. Thanks to the generosity of its donors, over the past five years the program has provided more than half of all foreign language materials acquired by Chinese universities overall. Bridge is a 510(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 1987, and donations of books and funds are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
