Membership Directory
An electronic directory of IEBD members can be accessed through the Members Only section of the SLA website. The SLA Members database can be searched and sorted in a variety of ways including by member name, company name, committee position, state, as well as by unit membership (Chapter, Division, Section, Caucus).
    Instructions:
  • Go to the SLA Members Only website
  • Enter your User I.D. (this is your membership ID number) and Password (Pin number). These numbers are found on your SLA membership card
  • From the top menu bar, from the ‘SLA Community’ drop-down menu, choose ‘Membership Directory’
  • You are taken to the ‘Search the SLA Members Directory’ page – under ‘Unit’, scroll down to - and click - ‘Insurance and Employee Benefits Division’
  • Hit the ‘Search’ button
  • To format the list for printing or saving, choose one of the four options at the top of the search results screen – Printer Friendly, Export to PDF, Export to Excel, or Export to Comma-Delimited File

Frances S. Cox Award
The Frances S. Cox Award, named in honor of the founder of the division, recognizes an active IEBD member who has demonstrated outstanding service to the division.
  • Nominations may be submitted by division members only
  • The award is presented at the business meeting during the Conference

Margaret Orloske & Maureen Olson Memorial Scholarship

Each year the Insurance and Employee Benefits Division offers a $1,500 scholarship for a library and information science student to attend the SLA annual conference. 

  • Current enrollment in a graduate library school program
  • Student membership in SLA
  • Scholarship funds may be applied only to SLA 2006 Annual Conference
  • Two letters of recommendation (including one from a library school faculty member
  • 500-word essay on what the candidate hopes to contribute to the information profession; the essay may be published in the division newsletter
  • The winner may not accept any other 2006 SLA Annual Conference award
  • The winner is responsible for making conference arrangements, including conference registration, travel and housing
  • The winner must attend division events during the conference
  • The winner will write a post-conference article on conference experiences for the IEBD Bulletin
