Correction to Physics News, February 2003 William Armstrong There was an error in the February 2003 Physics News article, http://www.sla.org/division/dpam/pam-bulletin/vol30/no3/physics.html. While discussing the Bell Labs incident, I inadvertently spoke of AIP’s response, but should have written APS. Also, shortly after I wrote the article, Daviess Menefee from Elsevier Science reported on several lists that, “Based on discussions with the library community, Elsevier has recently changed its policy of article removal from online products.” The text of the new policy can be found at http://www.info.sciencedirect.com/accessing_content/use_of_sd/article_removal/index.shtml. Correction to Preliminary Dance Card, May 2003 Karen Croneis The entry for the Newcomers’ Lunch contains a misspelling, http://www.sla.org/division/dpam/pam-bulletin/vol30/no4/dancecard.html. The sponsor is Turpion Ltd., not Turpin Distribution Service, LTD. The corrected entry which will appear in the SLA Conference Program and any later versions of the dance card will contain the following information: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. |
