The Pharmaceutical and Health Technology Division Annual Spring Meeting
will be in Memphis, Tennessee at The Peabody Hotel, March 26-28, 2006. http://peabodymemphis.com/home.cfm.

Room Reservations

The Peabody Hotel is giving DPHT a room rate of $150/night, so please register now. The new deadline for room reservations at this rate is now Fri., March 10th. If you have any trouble booking room reservations at our special rate, please contact Dina McKinnie to book your room at 901-529-4197, or email her at dmckinnie@peabodymemphis.com.
The number for reservations is 1-800-PEABODY, then press 2 for Memphis. To get the special rate, you must ask for "Special Libraries Assoc." Also, to guarantee the room rate, reservations must be made by Mar 3, 2006 at 5 PM Central Time. The rate is supposed to be good for three days before and three days after the conference.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note the cancellation policy. Registrants agree to provide SLA P&HT Division 2006 Spring Meeting organizers with written notice of any decision to cancel (a "Cancellation"). If a Cancellation occurs, the parties agree that the following charges will apply:

Date of Decision to Cancel	Amount of Refund Due***
From 30 days prior to meeting start	100%
From 15 to 29 days prior to meeting start	50%
From 0 to 14 days prior to meeting start	0%

*** NOTE: Social event tickets will not be refunded. SPACE IS LIMITED. Registrants may trade or sell purchased tickets to other registrants, but SLA P&HT Division will not be responsible for refunds for these event tickets.

Good news, everyone!

I am excited to announce that our Spring Mtg will be in Memphis, TN at The Peabody Hotel, March 26-28, 2006. http://peabodymemphis.com/home.cfm. Our theme this year is "Collaboration".

As many of you know, we were planning on having the Spring Mtg. in New Orleans this year, but Hurricane Katrina had other plans, so we looked elsewhere. If you would like to donate to help victims of Hurricane Katrina, please visit: http://www.sla.org/content/resources/disasterrelief/index.cfm

Now, some of you may be thinking that we are following Elvis' haunts, last year Vegas, this year Memphis, but this was truly a coincidence, not planned. We only later realized that Graceland is nearby, so if anyone has extra time or interest, Graceland is close by, http://www.elvis.com/graceland/.

As we get more information and build our preliminary program, we will add this information on the division web site, so check back in the coming weeks and months, http://www.sla.org/division/dpht/.
