Defining Noncommercial Use in Online Content

A study of Internet users' understanding of commercial and noncommercial uses of online content reveals that most are unfamiliar with copyright law.

Creative Commons (CC), a nonprofit organization that provides content creators with free "short" licenses to quickly and easily license their online content, conducted a study earlier this year to explore Internet users' understanding of the terms "commercial use" and "noncommercial use."
