Business & Finance Division Will Offer a Unique Learning Opportunity in Boston

We hope to see you in Boston for SLA 2015.  We’ve asked members to tell you why they’ll be in Boston for the conference and what sessions and events they’re looking forward to. This post is from Dr. Toby Pearlstein, SLA Fellow and longtime SLA member. She’ll be moderating this unique session.

Join members of the Business & Finance Division for the Crescendo Session Islamic Finance and Banking: An Introduction for Researchers.  Aslihan Bulut, program coordinator and librarian for Foreign, Comparative International Law at Harvard Law School, will talk about and preview her library’s new online research resource on the topic. Amjad Quadri, vice president of marketing and business development at Guidance Residential, will share with us his knowledge and experience with customer-facing products and services and how they differ from Western banking.  This is the first time this topic has been included in conference programming, and promises to be a great introduction and learning experience for attendees.

This session takes place on Sunday, June 14th, 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.  Don’t miss the April 17 Early Bird registration deadline!
