Essentials of Global Copyright

SLA offers the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of international copyright topics with the convenience of self-paced instruction.

Register now to join the October cohort of CCM300 Global Copyright Essentials.

In CCM300, participants will learn about—

  • the copyright implications of using content from outside one’s own country;
  • negotiating licenses with content providers in other countries;
  • applying fair use to non-U.S. materials; and
  • distributing content beyond borders.

Cost: $395/members | $495/non-members

On-demand courses are designed as independent learning experiences. Course content is delivered through recorded presentations, selected readings, study questions and case studies, and an end-of-course assessment. Instructor Lesley Ellen Harris is available throughout the course to answer questions and offer feedback. All coursework is completed over one calendar month.

CCM300 is part of SLA’s Certificate in Copyright Management program, and any offering may be taken à la carte. Participation in SLA’s copyright courses includes access to a private LinkedIn group for copyright information sharing and advice seeking.

Course and program discounts are available to SLA members. Learn more.
