SLA members are invited to join SLA President Tara Murray Grove and the SLA Board of Directors for town hall discussions. The town halls will include an update on SLA and an opportunity to ask questions.

SLA Town Hall: Virtual Events

Since the beginning of the pandemic, SLA events have gone virtual. SLA President Tara Murray Grove highlighted SLA and community events in conversation with SLA 2020 Annual Conference Advisory Council Chair Tina Franks and SLA Director of Learning and Success Diana Schapiro about SLA2020. Additionally, SLA community leaders joined Tara to share what their communities have done and their successes. These leaders included:

Responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Special librarians are practicing social distancing, sheltering in place, flattening the curve, and more to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus as they continue providing information services to their individual and organizational clients.
SLA President Tara Murray Grove chated with SLA members Blanca Chou, Stephanie Ferretti, Laura Fu, Rosanna Lindquist, and Niamh Tumelty about how they are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and adapting their services to meet their clients’ needs and shared an SLA update.
